The Carlton County Zoning
Ordinance establishes
regulations which control
and, in some cases, prohibit
various land uses,
improvements, or
development. That ordinance
establishes lot sizes (area,
width, length, etc.) which
must be met before
improvements or developments
may be made.
Zoning Permit Applications
must be obtained from the
Zoning Office and contain
the following:
1.
Proof of ownership of the
property (deed, purchase
agreement, notarized letter
of permission).
2.
Legal description of the
property.
3. A
complete and accurate site
plan with lot size &
dimensions, location of all
existing and proposed
structures, setbacks from
proposed structures to the
road right-of-way or
centerline, wells, side and
rear property lines,
ordinary high water level,
and septic system.
