The Recycling Centers are for the collection of residential recyclables from Carlton County residents. Business recyclables are not accepted at the centers.  Any questions or concerns regarding the centers, please contact the Resource & Recycling Coordinator.

Staffed Recycling Center Locations

  • Barnum (Behind Fire Hall)
  • Carlton (County Highway 1) 
  • Esko (Next to Town Hall)
  • Moose Lake (Next to Arena) 
  • Perch Lake (Next to Town Hall)


  • Wednesdays 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursdays 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Unstaffed Recycling Center Locations

  • Blackhoof (Next to Fire Hall, Co Rd 5)
  • Cromwell (1372 Hwy 73)
  • Holyoke (Next to Town Hall, Co Rd 8)
  • Kettle River (3955 Cedar St)
  • Mahtowa (Hwy 61 and Mahtowa Ave)
  • Wright (Pacific Ave)

  • Please report any illegal garbage dumping at these locations to the Resource & Recycling Coordinator

*New* As of Oct. 15, 2020, Kettle River has a new recycling center located two blocks north of the previous location. New address is 3955 Cedar St.
