Carlton County is experiencing a significant rain event. There is flooding in the southeastern part of the county.  The National Weather Service has notified us that the Nemadji River has risen 12 feet since midnight at Pleasant Valley. There are road closures at this time. Road Closure information is available on the Carlton County Website. Sheriff’s Deputies and County Road Crews are assessing damage and closing roads when they find hazards. Do not drive through submerged portions of the roads. Please call 911 if you find a hazard that has not been marked.
