Carlton County seeks statements of qualification and proposals from Construction Managers to provide professional services relating to the planning, development, and construction of an expansion to and renovation of the Barnum Maintenance Facility located at 3888 County Road 61, Barnum, MN 55707. The work will be performed in close cooperation with Carlton County staff and elected officials, and the County’s Architect, Wold Architects & Engineers, Inc. 55707.
Proposals are due by 10:00 AM CST, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 to JinYeene Neumann, County Engineer; Carlton County Transportation Department, 1630 County Road 61, Carlton, MN 55718. Proposals postmarked but not received by this deadline will not be considered.
Anticipated Schedule:
Friday, November 8, 2019: RFP Issued.
Wednesday, November 27, 2019: Proposals due.
Monday, December 2, 2019: Interviews with Project Team
Tuesday, December 3, 2019: Construction Manager Selection
Scope Details:
Carlton County anticipates construction of an approximately 52,400 square foot addition and renovation to the existing Barnum Maintenance Facility. The County will need to maintain partial or full and beneficial occupancy of the existing Barnum Maintenance Facility throughout construction, including convenient and safe parking and access for visiting public as well as Carlton County employees.

Proposals shall remain valid for sixty days from submittal deadline. This request for proposals does not obligate Carlton County to execute an agreement. Carlton County reserves the right to negotiate with one or more proposers. Carlton County reserves the right to reject any or all or any portions submitted when deemed to be in Carlton County’s best interest.
