The Carlton County Board of Commissioners has allocated $10,000 of remaining pandemic relief funds to be disbursed as grants aimed at bringing Carlton County communities back together. Over the past two years, many fun, community-building, educational and cultural events have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 risks associated with close-contact community gatherings. Hopeful that infection numbers continue to decline, many communities look to regenerate opportunities to get residents, families, and visitors back out and about. If you or your group plan to host a free community event in Carlton County in 2022, please consider applying. Maximum grant awards will be $1,000 based on event details, geographic disbursement, impact, and county-wide demand for funding. Applications are available beginning Monday, March 14, 2022 and are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022. Grant applications with program guidelines can be picked up at the Carlton County Government Services Building located at 1307 Cloquet Ave., Cloquet, MN or can be printed off of the County website HERE .
